[SpRiNg BrEaK '09]

The Friday we got out of school it was my mom's birthday so she came over and spent the night at the apartment with me and we at cake and watched movies while laughing so hard i started crying because of Christopher acting funny faces and just Christopher being Christopher. The Saturday following the last day of school me and my best friend Kimi went to the mall and walked around for like EVER. then she came back to my apartment and we hung out and watched COPS the TV show... (FYI: i don't have cable). During spring break the first few days i just spent hanging out at my dad's house watching MTV and making plans with friends... Along with watching Christopher. Around Thursday i took Christopher to Galveston ; the seawall and we walked around, looked at some shops and then went to Kemah boardwalk! [YAY!!] on Friday i went to a friend's PARTY... Saturday my mom came over to see Christopher. while she was over i went to Schiliterbahn with a group of friends. It was so much FUN! Then Sunday which was yesterday, me and a friend of mine went to Kemah boardwalk for the whole day. We got there at like 10:30 am and didn't leave till like 4:30 pm.MY favorite ride at the boardwalk was Pharaoh's Fury. Man am i sunburned the sad thing is, is that i wanted to get a swimsuit tan but instead i not only got a swim suit tan but also a tank top tan line too... UGH! Oh and plus i had to read this real boring book called 1984 and i was so frustrated because i dint understand a single thing it was talking about.. but i passed my quiz today with flying colors[thanks to spark notes](LOL)

My College Goal

Once I finish high school the profession I would like to go into is Dental or Dental Hygiene. I plan to graduate high school here at Spring Woods High and then start my basics for about two years at a community college whether it's HCC/ Houston Community College http://northwest.hccs.edu/portal/site/northwest/or somewhere else. Once I finish with my basics I then plan to move my college life into University of Texas http://www.utexas.edu/ and start studying my career in their medical school. I plan to study everything I can that will take me down the RIGHT path inorder to become a Dentist or Dental Hygienist.

GROUP WORK!!!

okay so far we just started a new section in Curriculum Viewer and we had to work with our group memebers together on Lessons 2-4. My group memebers are Emily G. and Kevin M. We all three work together GREAT! no one has ever fought or felt like they were way behind. We all create a sense of good team work and we all stay focused on task. I feel like our group is a strong group because if one person has a question then we ask one of the team members to see if they could help us out. Plus we include and involve every member in our group. I like the way we discuss the questions as a group before we answer them because maybe one person knows the answer and could help the other two people out or all three of us know the answer and we could just move on to the next step. I think our group has strong work skills and are very helpful to on another at any time.

Hurricane Ike

It all started on Friday September 12, 2008 at around 11 pm. I was watching the news with my mom at the apartment when the storm slowly began to creep in on the Houston Texas area. It started of quite and then gradually became a monster. Everything was fine in the beginning. There were loud noises and tons of rain. Around 1 am on Saturday the storm was right over the Houston area. My mom opened the door to try and look outside I told her to close the door and right when she did a shindle from the roof was carried by the wind and slammed into the door. An hour later we were sitting in the living room watching tv and right when i said : man at least we still have power" the lights went out. I screamed of terror because for one I absolutely hate the dark and for another thing it had all happened so quickly. My mom and i lit some candles and listened to our battery powered radio while trying to not let the storm terrify me. Around 2:30 am we couldn't stand staying in the bedroom because shindles were hitting the carport roof so loud it sounded like they were bricks. We decided to move to the living room and we were fine sitting in there for a while when all of a sudden we started hearing things/ objects hitting the glass window. My mom and i both decided we should just go in the bathroom until the storm was over with. We spent about half an hour sitting in the bathroom listening to people call in and talk about their experience during the storm. Finally we decided to go back to the bedroom to try to get some sleep. I fell alseep texting my friends and family by the time i woke up atound 7:25 am on Saturday we had power back and their was daylight outside even though it was still raining. I went to tell my mom but she was outside so I decided to go out and when I walked outside I couldn't believe what I'd seen. It looked like a tornado had hit the tree across from my unit, there were roof shindles all over the place on the ground everywhwere, there were tree branches blown all the way to the other side of the complex courtyard, and the unit i was staying in and two other apartment units had power but the other four didn't. Due to a tranformer that had popped which knocked out the 4 units power and only three units had power because the fire station right next to the complex. I lost water for a day but it came back that sunday night. I am so thankful to have power and water. I can't get over how bad this hurricane was and how it affected not only me but everyone in the state of Texas. I would not like to experience this again but that's what we get for choosing to live in Texas. We have to learn to deal with hurricanes, and tornados. But in the end of it all I'm willing to put up with it.

Hi, my name is Kelly G. Here's a little bit of information about me:
My favorite food is Fajitas with a side of rice, refried beans and pico de gallo. I love listening to music like alternative rock hip hop and country(at times). My most favorite tv show is GOSSIP GIRL but i enjoy watching others such as Big Brother, Wifeswap, and Supernanny. My favorite subject in school is Algebra2 and Spanish2. Spanish2 is my favorite class because I really enjoy learning another language and being able to communicate in more than one language besides english. I also enjoy Algebra2 because I used to struggle with math but now I understand the concepts more and enjoy helping others learn. The subject in which I excel in is English since I love to write freely on any topic. Some of my strengths are I am an excellent typer, I am a hard worker, if you give me a project to do I'll have it done the night you assign it. Some of my weaknesses are blonde moments at times and talks ALOT. I always study for a tests and I do this by studying the review a few times and then have someone quiz me over it. I would like to learn in this class how to use all the Microsoft Office programs and when to use each on for certain topics.We should divide work in our team EQUALLY, not just one person should get assign to do all the work they should be spread out among each group member. I would make a great team member because I'm an outgoing person, I like to hear everyone's opinions, I will make sure everyone is included in the work and thought process of each topic. Plus I am a very hard worker, very organized, I never give up, and I work until the work is done.

BLOGGER THOUGHTS

So Mrs. Cuellar told me to create a blog and the first thing that came to my mind was "Oh Great!" How am I going to do that? When she mentioned the blogger idea I was like a blogger what is that?As she walked me through the process in a way I started to get the hang oh things. I'm still new to this blogger idea but I have came farther into learning how to use it and became more familiar with this whole process. At first I was struggling but now I understand.
